Twins Paste 5-3 Loss on Spectres
|
The Cincinnati Twins picked up a win at Sony Field at Philadelphia, topping the Philadelphia Spectres, 5-3. On the mound for Cincinnati was right-hander Craig Kruppenbacher. He played a principal role in the triumph. Antonio Ramires recorded his 1st save for Cincinnati. Cincinnati is now 4-2.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Marco Escutia? The Cincinnati second baseman had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Twins on top, 2-0. For the game, Escutia had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
