Titans Lose By a Run at Buffalo
|
Buffalo left-hander Jeff Umlah helped his team edge New York by the score of 3-2. Umlah kept the opposing lineup in check. Umlah picked up the win for Buffalo, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. With the win, Buffalo climbs to 4-1.
Had Rafael Vasco not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Vasco hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Rangers.
"Jeff just settled in and did what he does," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.
