Philadelphia beat Miami at Kroger Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to designated hitter Adam Stokes. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Mike Colunga was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Santos Lalin picked up his 4th save of the season.

Stokes had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 0-1 fastball from Elza Ficquelmont, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Spectres a 5-2 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Stokes.

"It was a solid team effort," said Stokes after the game.

The Spectres saw their record improve to 19-29.
