The Havana Metropolitanos topped the Santiago Avispas, 7-2, in Eastern Conference action at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. The standout performance belonged to Havana pitcher and Zizur Nagusia, Spain, native Dave Quintero. Eddie Ferrufino notched his 6th save of the season. Havana bumps their record to 34-14 with the win.

Havana used the hitting of Alex Flores to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Metropolitanos on top, 2-0. For the game, Flores had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Dave went out and did what we needed," said Havana manager Kevin Mayerhofer.
