Kings Make Wolves 3-2 Losers

The Baltimore Kings, despite a fine performance by Vancouver pitcher Jose Uresti, grabbed a 3-2 win at Fox-Chong Park. Uresti allowed 1 run over 6.1 innings. Aaron Kopta, who is tied for 10th in the EC in strikeouts with 62, was the winner. He's now 4-2. The loser was Manny Velez. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Andy Mejia.
Baltimore took a 2-1 lead on Ko Kuroda's 13th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Kuroda hit in the top of the seventh, left Vancouver pitcher Manny Velez visibly frustrated.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Kuroda said.
The Kings, at 26-22, sit in third place in the Eastern Conference Willis Briceno Division.
