Eckenroth Fires Shutout in Gecko Victory
It wasn't easy but Gil Eckenroth made it look that way.

Eckenroth silenced the Victoria Seals, 3-0, in a Paradise Gecko triumph at Paradise Grounds. Despite the appearance of dominance, Eckenroth said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 1 walk and 3 hits.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."

This year, Eckenroth has compiled a 6-4 mark with a 3.49 ERA.
