Friars Capture Extra-Inning Win
|
The San Francisco Friars took Tetsukazu Kaneda's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Staples Field. The final score had San Francisco getting past the Glaciers, 3-2, in 10 innings. Kaneda over 5.2 innings allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4. The winner was Cheh Ye in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jeremy Lanham took the loss. San Francisco currently is in second place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division at 27-22.
The Friars got a clutch hit from designated hitter Chris Neri. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Friars.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Denver manager Todd Bleess, "let me know."
