In a tight tilt between the New York Titans and the Tucson Toros, Pavel Orta was the deciding factor. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ray Menk recorded his 7th save for New York. New York has won 4 consecutive games.
Jimmy Keener had a big solo home run for the Titans in the bottom of the third inning. With New York leading 2-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Vismay Falcon and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Titans on top, 3-0.
"Bottom line," said Tucson skipper Rick Barnes, "we didn't play well enough to win."
