The 2080 season is off to a good start for the Minneapolis Vikings. The hometown Vikings knocked off the Las Vegas Aces, 2-0, at Minneapolis Grounds. Minneapolis pitcher Alex Mijangos paced his team to the win. Mijangos picked up the win for Minneapolis, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0.
Sebastian Bush had a big run-scoring double for the Vikings in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Minneapolis leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from R.J. Mendenhall, who finished 2nd in the WC in strikeouts with 240 in 2077, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Vikings ahead, 2-0.
"Watch and learn," said Bush. "This is what good pitching looks like."
