Sierra Leads Twins to 6-3 Win Over Toros
|
The Cincinnati Twins dealt the Tucson Toros a 6-3 loss at Cincinnati Grounds. Alex Sierra was the star on offense. He hit 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Tony Hernandez picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 2-3. Cincinnati is now 24-24.
Cincinnati took a 6-2 lead on Sierra's 11th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Giichiro Mishima in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Cincinnati to the win.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Sierra said after the game.
