Guilzar Powers Dragons Offense
The Portland Dragons beat the Cincinnati Twins, 6-3, at Cincinnati Grounds. Alex Guilzar, in particular, was impressive. He went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Portland goes to 31-15. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.

Portland used the timely hitting of Gerald Gaghiardi to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dragons on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Gaghiardi called the win "a team effort."
