Minneapolis Vikings starter Andy Doncaster took the mound against the Washington Senators at The ESPN Zone; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 5-3 win. Minneapolis pitcher Phil Payne got the win. He's now 2-0. Alfonso Basulto was tagged with the loss. The Vikings now own a record of 22-24.

It could have been a different outcome for Minneapolis, had it not been for Morimasa Kawamoto, the 27-year old catcher . Kawamoto contributed a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put Minneapolis up, 5-3.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Doncaster.
