Casanas Swings Thunderbirds to 6-2 Win
|
The Phoenix Thunderbirds handed the New York Titans a loss at Polo Grounds II. The final score was 6-2. Major production was provided by Jordan Casanas for Phoenix. In addition to his 2 singles and 1 home run, he scored 1 run and drove in 4. He also added 1 walk. This win makes it 5 in a row for Phoenix.
Casanas had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-0 fastball from Shane Pursley, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Thunderbirds a 6-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Casanas.
"Do what you're good at," said Phoenix manager Joe Busch. "That's all I ask of the team."
