The Phoenix Thunderbirds defeated the New York Titans, 7-4, in part because of third baseman Min-yul Lee. Lee was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Thunderbirds. Hector Ortiz was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was 29-year old left-handed pitcher Pierre Prent. Andy Miao earned the save for Phoenix, his 8th.

Phoenix used a timely hit from Cody McLaughlin to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Lee told the Phoenix Bulletin.

The 4th-place Thunderbirds have won 4 straight games.
