Browns Upend Rangers, 3-2

Brooklyn Browns starter Kevin Bozek turned in a top-notch performance against the Buffalo Rangers at Bison Stadium. The result was a win for the Browns, 3-2. Bozek got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 5 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. Bozek allowed no runs. The Browns, now 23-21, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.
Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Tommy Bomba to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Browns ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We played hard and won," said Bozek. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
