Thunderbirds Rally Late to Nip Kodiaks
The Alaska Kodiaks got a superb performance from pitcher Alex Mayorga, but the Phoenix Thunderbirds still won the game, 6-5. Mayorga threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The Thunderbirds improved their record to 23-22 with the win over Alaska.

The decisive blow was delivered by Er Hsiao in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Ki-tong Lok to win the game for Phoenix. The home crowd went nuts.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Hsiao said.
