Lindberg Homers Twice in 4-2 Rangers Win
|
Al Lindberg made an impact in the 4-2 Buffalo win over New York. Lindberg, who finished 3rd in the EC in on-base percentage with .419 in 2080, went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. B.J. Baker earned the win for Buffalo. He lasted 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 1-0. Matt Kloser earned the save, his 1st.
Early in the game, Lindberg had a 3-run home run for Buffalo. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Rangers on top, 3-0.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Lindberg said.
Buffalo, now 3-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
