Tucson Loses, 11-9, in 14
|
The Seattle Arrows powered past the Tucson Toros, 11-9, in 14 innings at Aetna Stadium. Colin Cuyler went 4 for 7 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2, to lead the charge. The losing streak for Tucson has now reached 4 games.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Neil Leisure came to bat in the top of the 14th. Facing Tucson pitcher Luis Jimenez, he hit a 1-2 sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 8-7.
"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Cuyler.
