Cedillo, Dragons Beat Phantoms, 7-4
|
Led by Jairo Cedillo, the Portland Dragons downed the Chicago Phantoms, 7-4. Cedillo slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Dragons. Oscar Mercado locked down his 5th save. With the win over Chicago, the Dragons improved to 26-18.
With Portland trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the first, Cedillo hit a curveball from Jake Orthman for a 3-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 4-3.
"Enjoyed this one," Cedillo told the Portland Observer. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
