Riding the 2-hit performance of the 25-year old right fielder Koji Chinea, the Baltimore Kings defeated the New York Titans, 8-1. Baltimore pitcher Kunimatsu Myaji earned the win, hiking his record to 7-1. Nate Yakovlev suffered the loss. The Kings go to 80-71, putting them first in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division.
Harold Wicks, who is tied for 2nd in the EC in total bases with 295, took New York hurler Nate Yakovlev deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Kings on top, 3-0. In all, Wicks had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Things went our way," said Wicks.
