Great Stroke: Kazama Gets 5 Hits
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Michiyo Kazama as he led the charge to a nifty 6-5 win over the Blaze. The Lincoln third baseman was pure misery for the Moreno Valley pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Kazama put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Blaze, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Michiyo Kazama singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off William Whiffin in the 9th.
For the year, Kazama is batting .303 with 16 home runs.
