Portland pitcher Bertrand Ivory did his part in helping his team beat the San Antonio Angels, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Ivory got the win, improving to 5-3. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 5 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Juan Casanas notched his 10th save of the season.

Alex Guilzar hit a 2-run home run off Dan DuBois in the bottom of the first, which put the Dragons ahead, 2-0. In addition to the homer, Guilzar had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Ivory.

The third-place Dragons have won 4 straight games.
