Boston Rallies for 4-2 Win
|
The Boston Greens and Toronto Juggernauts played an exciting game.
Starting pitcher Steve McFarlen was a major factor in the 4-2 Boston Greens triumph over the Toronto Juggernauts. Rafael Mendiola claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 3-1. Earning his 1st save of the year was Dave Gaytan.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Junpei Fujiwara to seal the deal. The right fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Greens on top, 3-2. For the game, Fujiwara had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Fujiwara called the win a test of his team's "mettle."
Boston currently is in last place in the Eastern Conference Max Badaloni Division at 17-25.
