Phantoms Trip Arrows, 7-4
|
Chicago starter John Liberty pitched well against the Seattle Arrows at Power Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-4. Liberty picked up the win for Chicago, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 7-2. Manny Larios recorded his 4th save for Chicago.
Nala Forcelledo had a big 2-run triple for the Phantoms in the top of the second inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from former first overall pick Ricky Zika and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phantoms ahead, 4-0.
"John set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Chicago manager Sam J.
Chicago's record now stands at 34-10, placing them first in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.
