Rangers Need Extra Innings to Top Greens, 5-2
The Buffalo Rangers finished things off in style.

The Buffalo Rangers used a stellar performance from pitcher Mike Blain to throttle the Boston offense en route to an extra-inning, 5-2 win at Bison Stadium. Phillip Dalley earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-0.

Buffalo got a knockout punch from Merlin Garbie. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Blain.

Buffalo is second in the Eastern Conference Benito Cossutta Division with a record of 24-17.
