New York pitcher Jeong Lee had a large part in his team beating the San Francisco Friars, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Ray Menk earned the save, his 7th. The Titans go to 26-17, putting them first in the Eastern Conference Willis Briceno Division.

Shortstop Greg Wozniak made an impact for New York, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Doug Lovelace in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Wozniak was 1-3 with a double and a walk.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Titans manager Nate Beckman.
