The St. Louis Gaedels earned a win at Veeck Park, stopping the Minneapolis Vikings, 3-1. Starting pitcher Lanzo Huitron played a big role in his team's success. Alex Villalobos recorded his 1st save for St. Louis. The Gaedels are now 18-24, while the Vikings fall to 23-19.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Alex Villalobos didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and Minneapolis trailing 3-1, Villalobos retired Tony Pineda to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Villalobos, with a wink.
