Los Angeles picked up a win at Staples Field, bumping off the San Francisco Friars, 9-2. Pitcher Jordan Oliva was a major reason the Stars emerged victorious. The Stars raised their record to 19-21.

Eloy Laca hit a 2-run double off Cruz Ponce in the top of the fourth, which put the Stars in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Laca had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"Jordan's as tough as he is talented," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
