Titans Rally For 3-2 Win
|
The New York Titans beat the Boston Greens, 3-2, in part because of catcher Roberto Tandarica Jr.. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Ruben Hernandez in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Ricardo Alas took the loss for Boston. Ray Menk, credited with the save, is now 34 for 36 in save opportunities.
Tandarica Jr. had a timely hit for New York in the top of the ninth. With Boston trailing 2-0, he turned a 1-2 changeup into a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season, making it 3-2, New York.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Tandarica Jr. said after the game.
With the win, New York pushed its record to 95-56.
