Spectres Defeated, 5-1, After Buffalo Rallies
|
The Rangers grabbed a win, 5-1, at Sony Field at Philadelphia, overcoming a fine effort from Philadelphia pitcher Jeong Lee. Lee went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Today's win puts Buffalo at 85-67, while Philadelphia falls to 67-85.
Buffalo used the clutch hitting of Rafael Vasco to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
Said Philadelphia manager Ryan Huff: "You just have to tip your cap sometimes."
