Aces Notch 7-3 Win Versus Friars
|
Las Vegas pitcher Salomé Sieuve had a large part in his team beating the San Francisco Friars, 7-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. J.P. McNealy closed the game out for Las Vegas, earning his 22nd save. The win puts the Aces at 75-77, while the Friars drop to 76-76.
Las Vegas won the game in part because of Eddie Flores. The shortstop ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-1. For the game, Flores had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"I'm happy we won," said Sieuve. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
