Senators Nip Kings, 4-3
|
Ubaldo Talone did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Baltimore Kings from losing the game, 4-3, to the Washington Senators in 12 innings at The ESPN Zone. Talone went 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The Senators, at 60-91, inhabit last place in the Eastern Conference Willis Briceno Division.
The Senators got a clutch hit from shortstop Bill Mahanay. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Senators.
"The crowd was juiced," said Mahanay.
