Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Titans
The New York Titans beat the Cincinnati Twins, 7-6 -- though it took them 10 innings. New York designated hitter Rex Rawnsley had a pretty good game. He slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Reliever Ray Menk picked up the win. His record improves to 4-2. Jose Caro, who is tied for 8th in the EC in holds with 12, took the loss. The Eastern Conference Rex Rawnsley Division-leading Titans have a record of 103-47.

The decisive blow was delivered by Earl Carpenter in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 33-year old right-handed pitcher Jose Caro to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Nate Beckman.
