Kings Earn 5-4 Win Versus Titans
|
At AT&T Park, the Baltimore Kings edged the New York Titans, 5-4, in 12 innings. Baltimore designated hitter Harold Wicks, who jolted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Baltimore now sits at 79-71, while New York falls to 74-76.
The Kings got a clutch hit from third baseman Heater Watkins. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Kings.
"Good pitching stops good hitting," said Wicks. "And vice-versa."
