In a tension-filled contest between the Minneapolis Vikings and the Kansas City Athletics, pitcher Andy Doncaster was superb. The Minneapolis right-hander, who finished 4th in the EC in wins with 16 in 2067, spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Ontario Erie picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Alex Aguilar suffered the loss. With the win, the Vikings have a record of 61-90.

Minneapolis got a game-changing hit from Danny Zayas. The first baseman blasted a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Zayas.
