Athletics Suffer One-Run Loss at Houston
Houston beat Kansas City at Tesoro Stadium, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Ricky Zika. He threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Victor Wix, the 22nd overall pick in the 2077 draft, earned the save for Houston. The Aquas, now 24-16, know that wins in May count the same as wins in September.

The Aquas got a big at-bat from right fielder Edgar Albuja. For the game, Albuja went 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Houston a 5-2 lead.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Albuja. "But I like how we're playing right now."
