Phantoms Absorb 4-2 Loss at Fox-Chong Park
|
Vancouver Wolves starter Andres Carrasquillo pitched a strong game against the Chicago Phantoms at Fox-Chong Park, leading the Wolves to victory, 4-2. By defeating Chicago, the last-place Wolves improved to 69-82.
Had John Woodward not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Woodward hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Wolves.
Vancouver manager Zach Meinen was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
