Twins Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Cincinnati turned a good effort from starting pitcher Craig Kruppenbacher into a win over the Boston Greens at Arrington Park. The final score was 3-2 in 12 innings. Dainer Madera picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-0. Evan Umagas was tagged with the loss. The Twins now own a record of 75-74.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Tim Champion to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Twins on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Kruppenbacher simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
