The San Francisco Friars welcomed the Los Angeles Stars to an night game at Staples Field.

The San Francisco Friars knocked off the Los Angeles Stars, 6-5, in Western Conference action at Staples Field. San Francisco pitcher and Sunbury, England, native Shaun Chugh had an outstanding performance. Roger Calzada notched his 10th save of the season.

Amdre Ceclio drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate for San Francisco. The 2078 Rookie of the Year Award winner had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jimmy Oyola. It was his 15th RBI of the season.

Ceclio told the San Francisco Observer: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
