Bison Stadium was the site of a remarkable pitchers' duel.

The Buffalo Rangers claimed a close win over the San Francisco Friars, due in large part to Carl Rodda. The Buffalo right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. Adam Mimnaugh converted his 5th save in 6 tries.

Matty Hrinko hit a run-scoring double off John Smallwood in the bottom of the third, which put the Rangers in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Hrinko had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"No weaving and bobbing. Carl came right after them," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.

With the victory, the Rangers record stands at 84-65.
