Aces Rebuff Phantoms, 5-3

The Las Vegas Aces dealt the Chicago Phantoms a 5-3 loss at Foster Field. Jessie Bouchard was the star on offense. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Tae-sang Shinn picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-12. He struck out 8 in 5.1 innings. Las Vegas now sits at 73-76, while Chicago falls to 80-69.
The Aces got a big at-bat from first baseman Justin Evans. For the game, Evans went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave Las Vegas a 1-0 lead.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Aces manager Justin Coroian.
