Qiu, Destroyers Too Much for Arrows
The San Diego Destroyers defeated the Seattle Arrows, 7-4. Doing his part was designated hitter Lan-quing Qiu, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Gang-sheng Kim closed the door for San Diego, picking up his 2nd save of the year. The Destroyers win now puts them at 63-86.

Qiu had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Victor Romero, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Destroyers a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Qiu.

"Glad to go home with a win," said Qiu.
