The Minneapolis Vikings wanted a good start from Jose Ortiz -- and he delivered one. The result was a 2-1 Minneapolis win over the Tucson Toros at Aetna Stadium. Minneapolis currently is in first place in the Western Conference Mike Stump Division at 88-61.

Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Carlos Dorame to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Vikings ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Dorame.
