Phantoms Edge Friars, 3-2
|
Foster Field played host to some dramatic action.
Chicago Phantoms pitcher Tommy Pepper whisked his team past the San Francisco Friars, 3-2. Chicago pitcher Bobby Sanchez got the win. He's now 4-2. Chris Isaacks was tagged with the loss.
Chicago got a knockout punch from Nala Forcelledo. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Pepper said.
The Phantoms now have a mark of 79-70.
