Kodiaks Get Clutch 3-2 Win
The Alaska Kodiaks got a stellar effort from pitcher Will Spangenberg, helping Alaska score a win over the visiting Portland Dragons, 3-2, in 12 innings. Alaska reliever Javy Granillo picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Wil Campos was saddled with the loss. The first-place Kodiaks hiked their record to 80-69.

Alaska got a knockout punch from Tat Xú. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter. "We just didn't cash in."
