6-3 Loss Extends Tucson Losing Streak
The Denver Glaciers picked up a win at Mountain Dew Park, dropping the Tucson Toros, 6-3. Su-shun Nie, who finished 3rd in the WC in wins with 17 in 2073, was the difference-maker. Nie, now 20-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Jeremy Lanham closed the game out for Denver, earning his 19th save.

The Glaciers had to work out of trouble with no one out in the top of the eighth. The score was 6-3, Denver. But Tucson, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had mounted a threat. Gabriel Rosales dug in at the plate. But on a first pitch fastball, Rosales hit into a double play.

The losses continue to mount for Tucson, which has now dropped 7 in a row.
