Sagastisado Helps Gaedels Beat Kings, 9-6
The St. Louis Gaedels defeated the Baltimore Kings, 9-6, in Eastern Conference action at AT&T Park. Manny Sagastisado pulled his weight. The 14-year veteran was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Tso-i Mak, now 4-5, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. St. Louis now sits at 78-71, while Baltimore falls to 78-70.

St. Louis used a clutch at-bat from Wayne Curran to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Gaedels ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Gaedels manager Mak Dolnick.
