The Havana Metropolitanos picked up a win at Bison Stadium, knocking off the Buffalo Rangers, 8-4. Starting pitcher Nate McFry played a key role in the triumph. McFry got the win, improving to 8-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. McFry allowed 2 runs. Austin Brick got the save, the 27th for him this season.

Havana used the timely hitting of Steve Appleby to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Metropolitanos on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.

In postgame comments to the Havana Daily News, Appleby said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Their 61-87 record puts the Metropolitanos last in the Eastern Conference Bill Oates Division.
