Phantoms Pick Up 5-1 Win Against Las Vegas
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Las Vegas Aces and Chicago Phantoms get after it.
Chicago Phantoms starter Ingo Jentzsch was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Las Vegas Aces, 5-1. In 7 innings, Jentzsch surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Ricky Minjarez collected save number 6.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from shortstop Hector Abarca. For the game, Abarca went 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Chicago a 1-0 lead.
"I love playing this game, so you'll never see me not want to go out there and pitch," said Jentzsch.
Chicago now owns a record of 86-62.
