Luera Stars in 5-2 Vikings Win
|
Minneapolis right fielder Freddy Luera had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Los Angeles Stars, 5-2. Minneapolis starter Peter Rook was credited with the win after throwing 52 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 10-10. Minneapolis is in second place in the Western Conference Manny Muro Division with a record of 80-68.
Minneapolis took a 5-1 lead on Luera's 24th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Chris Rios in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Minneapolis to the win.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Luera said.
