Miami Upended, 3-0, by Boston
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Boston Greens and the Miami Cyclones, pitcher Hatsuhiko Saruwatari was the difference between victory and defeat. The Boston left-hander earned kudos in the 3-0 Greens win. Naoto IIda collected his 5th save. The Greens move to 57-91 with the win, while the Cyclones drop to 89-59.
Boston used a well-timed hit by Sando Torroais to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Greens ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Said losing manager Chris Stephan: "We've got to find a way to push a run across."
