Arrows Saddle Kodiaks with 3-1 Loss
|
In a tight affair between the Seattle Arrows and the Alaska Kodiaks, pitcher Mike Hill was in the zone. The Seattle right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-1. Hill yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 4-6. Aaron Narduzzi closed it out for Seattle, earning his 31st save.
Ricky Zika had a big solo home run for the Arrows in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Seattle leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he got a changeup from two-time All-Star Eliecer Cervantes and swatted a home run to left. It was his 27th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Arrows ahead, 3-1.
"I executed the game plan," said Hill.
Seattle goes to 67-80, Alaska to 74-73.
