Cole Stars in 9-2 Rangers Win

The Buffalo Rangers stopped the Maine Lobster, 9-2, at Bison Stadium. The Rangers got a big game from Charlie Cole, who went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Allan Tinter was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 8 strikeouts. The third-place Lobster dropped to 68-79.
With Buffalo leading 3-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Cole hit a fastball from John Liberty for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 6-0.
